Erkodur-al

Field of use:

Erkodur-al is a thermoforming material optimised for the production of aligners and retainers

Material properties:

Viscoelastic hard, break resistant material with excellent dimensional stability – even under tension. Compared to the proven Erkodur the material is approximately 35% softer with a correspondingly lower initial force and hence less feeling of tension during insertion. However due to the very flat memory loss curve the effective force of Erkodur-al lasts comparatively longer.

Finishing:

See Erkodur-al Info under Documentation tab. This foil has an inbuilt spacer foil which is removed only after thermoforming and finishing.

Plastification:

(for machines without heating or time control) Place the foil in the device in such a way so that the spacer/insulating foil is pointing towards the model. Heat until foil sags slightly, then thermoform.
